GETTING HERE
Matabitchuan Lodge can only be accessed by boat or ATV.
The Sand Dam is accessible via gravel road 22 km (14 miles) from Highway 11. Turn right 100 meters north of Gramp's Place gas station/bait and tackle shop.
The Temagami access is more accommodating for those with larger boats or without a truck. Turn right at Temagami Train Station, left onto Steven's Road, continue on to Fox Run Road, turn right at public boat launch. Approximately 4 km from town.
Bring your own boat
From the Sand Dam access point, drive your boat straight out from shore, until you can't go any further. Turn right just before you get to the large rock. Drive deep into the bay and turn right again. You will see the boathouse and docks.
From the Temagami access points, follow the buoys down Rabbit Lake. Go around Rabbit Point, head Northeast. Pass the grey cottage and large rocks on your left, continue into the bay and turn right again. You will see the boathouse and docks.

We can pick you up and drop you off at either access point; Fox Run Road or Sand Dam.
